November 10,1940- The Italian invasion force is retreating just after 2 weeks
April 6,1941-Germany invades Greece
April 9,1941-Germany captures the port city of Salonika
April 12,1941-Allied troops are redeployed to defensive positions around Mt. Olympus
April 14,1941-The German Army clears a path to Greece and Greek forces fighting in Albania are cut off
April 16,1941-Allied forces in Greece are in full retreat at the request of General Alexander Papagos who wanted to stop fighting to save his country from total destruction.
April 20,1941-The Greek army surrenders to the Germans and the Italians
April 26,1941-The Germans bomb the bridge over the Corinth Canal trying to corner the retreating allies
